We have moved to our new school at 1101 Fort Street. At Submission 101 Gym we are the complete jiu jitsu school. We offer three styles of Jiu jitsu, each with its own flavour and techniques. All of our styles follow the basic principles of the art however: how to overcome an opponent by exerting the minimal amount on strength or energy, through the use of leverage and understanding of body mechanics. Jiu Jitsu uses throws, joint locks, chokes and is considered one of the worlds most effective martial arts.

Our Styles

	10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Is an innovative sub style of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), but without the gi. This no-gi style is powerful and explosive and is perfectly suited to MMA training. These classes focus on ground fighting (grappling) and sport competition.
	Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Is an incredibly fun grappling art utilizing the traditional uniform (gi). Although originally based on Japanese JJ, Brazilian JJ has evolved into a unique martial art in its own right. Our style of BJJ is smooth and highly technical, empowering smaller opponents to overcome on the ground without the use of strength.
	Japanese Jujutsu Is the most efficient and street-effective martial art, it is a complete self defence system based on the samurai arts. Ju Jitsu is often used by military, police and security forces as the martial art of choice and is the basis for most "reality-base self defence systems".
